New customs rules in Russia and Kazakhstan

From New Year of 2020, 01 of January new rules for the import of parcels into Russia from abroad will come into force. Limit - 200 EUR for each parcel! But at the same time, quantitative limits will disappear and the cost of the duty will be reduced to 15% instead of 30% of the existing ones.

Yes, this is not very good news, but there is a good side to the coin. Everyone who orders goods for personal use will be able to send parcels with a total amount greater than now. Parcels will not be summed up, that is, you order just a larger quantity and send them with time intervals so that they do not get to customs together. We recommend sending packages of 5 - 10 kg and sending more often.

Yes, we agree that you will have to pay a fee for expensive goods, phones, laptops, etc., but they also change it and it becomes 15% of the excess amount (instead of 30%).

For example, a new phone costs 500 € and the calculation of the tax duty will be:

500 € phone cost - 200 € duty-free limit = 300 € + 15% duty = 45 € or 3,213 ₽ + customs fee in the amount of 500 ₽

For large packages in case of excess weight of 31 kg, the duty is also reduced from 4 to 2 € for each extra kg.

For example, you ordered car parts from the UK in the amount of not more than 200 €, but 2 boxes totalling 40 kg and it turns out that the duty will be:

40 kg parcel weight - 31 kg. duty-free limit = 9 * 2 € = 18 € or 1,285 ₽ + customs duty in the amount of 500 ₽

To summarize: for personal purchases, inexpensive goods, in principle, nothing changes and even gets better. For expensive goods, there will be a duty, but not as scary as it might seem.
The parcel limit is now unlimited and you can send more parcels than now, which simply leads to the fact that parcels will become less in weight and more in quantity.

The fee can be paid directly the special customs website or at the post office and you receive your package.

We hope this does not upset our customers very much and we can still help everyone with delivery from England to Russia.
